Menstrual Hygiene day

This year’s Menstrual Hygiene day focused on enhancing a period-friendly world, where everyone can access the sanitary products, period education and the period-friendly infrastructure they need. The Ladies Lead Foundation, in partnership with the Ghana Chamber of Mines observed the day with 468 adolescent girls of the Anumle Cluster of Schools. Five(5) packs of Sanitary towels were given to each adolescent girl to aid in reducing absenteeism from school, which is prevalent among adolescent girls during their menstrual periods.
